Jack began preaching as a sixteen-year old teenager at Merriman Road Baptist Church in Garden City, Michigan. Since that Sunday night in 1967, he has served churches as pastor in Michigan, Massachusetts, and Florida.

An ordained Southern Baptist minister, Dr. Parrott also served his denomination in various positions in several states, including Kentucky, Michigan, Maryland, and New York. He launched Faith Now Ministries in September 2009 while serving as pastor in Altamonte Springs, Florida. He became senior pastor at Orlando's Dover Shores Baptist Church in 2014.

Over four decades of ministry have provided many exciting opportunities for the Kentucky native: in addition to preaching in churches from Maine to Hawaii and from Alaska to Puerto Rico, Jack has ministered in such diverse places as England, Holland, and the former Soviet Union. A friend of missions, he has mentored and supported pastors of new churches, conducted mission trips at home and abroad, and been involved in numerous regional and city-wide efforts.

Jack spent the earliest days of his childhood in the farm country of Eastern Kentucky, but moved to the Detroit area at the age of seven when his family migrated north to work in the automobile industry. During high school he wrote a weekly column for the town newspaper called “On the Bible Scene,” and organized a team of Christian teenagers to produce “The Youth Evangelistic Hour,” a weekly broadcast on a local Christian radio station.

Throughout college (B.S., Eastern Michigan University) and seminary (M.R.E., D.Min., The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary), he traveled on weekends conducting evangelistic meetings and youth rallies for churches, and also helped finance his education by writing for school publications. Jack returned to Southern Seminary many years later to complete his Doctor of Ministry degree. He is the author of two books and many articles in news journals and national magazines.

Dr. Parrott enjoys his three children and seven grandchildren. He and his wife Victoria live in Central Florida.
